MACL increases jet fuel prices

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has increased the price of jet fuel sold at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) by 10 Laari per litre.

MACL released a statement on August 29th stating that said that the price of jet fuel for international flights will be $1.11 per litre, starting from the 1st of September, an increased from $1.10 per litre.

The circular announced jet fuel price for domestic operations has also increased by 10 Laari.

The new prices are applicable only to companies that pay on purchase and that the prices will be quoted inclusive of GST, MACL said.

An official from MACL said that the price of jet fuel for domestic operations are cheaper than that for international flights but said that the price adjustments are the same for both categories.

MACL has adjusted the price of jet fuels in the past three months.
