Indian Minister of External Affairs Mr Salman Khurshid has said that he is deeply concerned about the illness of Maldivian Foreign Minister Dr Abdul Samad Abdulla.
The Indian High Commission said in a statement published today that Mr Salman Khurshid is deeply concerned about the illness of Dr Abdul Samad Abdulla, and that he has personally written a letter to the foreign minister wishing him a speedy recovery.
“It may be mentioned here that Mr Khurshid and Dr Samad have a special rapport and regularly consult each other on bilateral and other issues,” reads the statement.
The Indian High Commission in Maldives also said that they are in close contact with the Foreign Office with regard to the illness of Dr Samad and that they pray for his early recovery.
