Sandhaanu Luthfee joins PPM

Ibrahim Moosa Luthfee, one of the founders of the controversial political newspaper Sandhaanu, has joined the Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM).

Ibrahim Moosa Luthfee signed for PPM last night, soon after the inauguration of the PPM and Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) campaign post “Badhahi Jagaha”.

A major actor in the reform movement during the last decade, Sandhaanu Luthfee left the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) government after harshly criticizing former president Mohamed Nasheed, accusing him of having “hijacked the system.”

President Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik appointed Sandhaanu Luthfee as an advisor at the President’s Office on 25th September 2012, but was dismissed after eight months.
