Ahmed Usham appointed as Deputy Attorney General

President Dr Mohamed Waheed has appointed Ahmed Usham as Deputy Attorney General, at a ceremony held at the President’s Office today.

Ahmed Usham previously held the post of Deputy Solicitor General at the Attorney General’s Office.

The post of Deputy Attorney General has been vacant since Special Advisor to the President Aishath Bisam, who previously held this post, was appointed as Attorney General.

Ahmed Usham also previously held the post of Deputy State Attorney. He has acted as a defence attorney for the State also in the government of former President Mohamed Nasheed.
