Feydhoo MP Alhan Fahmy has been summoned by the police in relation to their investigation of the sex video involving Supreme Court Judge Ali Hameed.
The police media official said that the official notification has been sent to Alhan requesting him to be present at the police office at 8:30 pm tomorrow night, for question regarding a case that is presently under investigation.
He did not specify the case in relation to which Alhan was summoned.
Alhan told Sun today that the official notification sent by the police states that he is being summoned in relation to a case involving corruption, intimidation and blackmail.
He said that he received a text message from Deputy Head of Specialist Crime Mohamed Riyaz, following which he is convinced that he was summoned by the police on suspicion of blackmail in relation to Ali Hameed’s video.
Earlier today, Alhan tweeted the message sent from Mohamed Riyaz’s number to his phone.

The police media official said that no such text message has been sent to Alhan by any police officer.
It is easy and common these days, with a particular App, to send text messages from other people’s mobile numbers.
Alhan said that his brother Azbaan Fahmy has also been summoned by the police at 8:30 pm tomorrow in relation to a case involving corruption, intimidation and blackmail.
This has however not been confirmed by the police.
Earlier, Project Advisor at the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure Ahmed Faiz was arrested on suspicion of trying to sell a sex video involving Judge Ali Hameed.
Businessman Mohamed Saeed (Golden Lane) has been summoned by the police on two occasions in relation to the same case.
