Cathay Pacific has announced that it will commence flights between Male’ and Hong Kong on 27 October.
Foreign papers have reported that Cathay Pacific had announced that it would launch a new four-times-weekly service to the Maldives, and that the airline will use an Airbus A330-300 aircraft equipped with its award-winning Business Class, new Premium Economy Class and Long-haul Economy Class cabins for this route.
Cathay Pacific Chief Executive John Slosar said that the Maldives is the perfect getaway for holidaymakers from Hong Kong and around the world.
“Cathay Pacific is a premium service airline and our passengers will enjoy the best products and services when they fly with us to the Maldives,” he said.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong Airlines has also recently resumed services to Male’.
According to some foreign papers, airlines have increased flights to the Maldives over the past few years, and tourist arrivals in the Maldives from China and other countries has also increased significantly.
