Young man stabbed in Male

An 18-year-old has been attacked with a sharp object in Male’ tonight.

The police said that the 18-year-old was attacked while he was near the waste yard no. 2 on Boduthakurufaanu Magu at around 20:00.

The police said that the victim sustained wounds on his right elbow and in five places on his back, and that he is currently being treated at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

The Serious and Organised Crime Department of the Maldives Police Service is investigating this incident.
