Dr Hassan Saeed tenders his resignation

Leader of Qaumee Party, Dr Hassan Saeed, has resigned from the post of Special Advisor to the President.

In the resignation letter sent to President Dr Mohamed Waheed today, Dr Hassan Saeed thanked the president for the opportunity to serve the State, and assured that he had served the State during this period with loyalty.

Dr Hassan Saeed has accepted the offer to act as the Running Mate of Jumhooree Party (JP) Leader, Gasim Ibrahim, in the upcoming presidential election.

This will be officially announced tomorrow night, said Dr Hassan Saeed.

Following Dr Hassan Saeed’s resignation, former Attorney General Aishath Bisam has been appointed Special Advisor to the President.
