Mohamed Waheeduddin appointed as Deputy President

President Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik has appointed Mohamed Waheeduddin as his Deputy, and Dr. Hassan Saeed as Special Advisor to the President.

Mohamed Waheeduddin, usually identified as owner of Bandos Island Resort, one of the most famous tourist hotels in the country, is a leading business tycoon of the country, and he had served in the cabinet also.

Dr. Hassan Saeed served as Attorney General during the presidency of Maumoon Abdul Qayyoom, and also as Special Advisor to the President during the presidency of Mohamed Nasheed. Dr. Hassan Saeed is also the President of Qawmee Party, one of the political parties in the country.
