JSC establishes committee to investigate Judge Ali Hameed

Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has established a special committee to investigate the case of a sex video involving Supreme Court Judge Ali Hameed Mohamed.

JSC revealed today that the 5-member committee was instituted by the unanimous vote of all 8 members, at the the commission’s 66th meeting, held today.

The committee consists of Commission members Latheefa Gasim, Ahmed Rasheed, Commission Vice President Abdulla Didi, and two lawyers from outside the commission – Hussain Siraj and Mohamed Anil.

JSC said that the committee was established following a letter they received from the Maldives Police Service.
