Part of building being demolished collapses, damages pick-up

Part of a house located at the intersection of Kashimaa Hingun and Ameenee Magu in Henveyru district that was being demolished, has collapsed to the street.

A Sun Online reporter at the scene said that the demolition of the four-storey building of H. Kashiveli began early last month, and in today’s incident, a slab of concrete fell on a pick-up parked at the intersection on the street. The driver was also in the vehicle at the time.

A foreign national in the building also fell on the street in the incident but he did not suffer any serious injuries, said the Sun reporter.
