MTDC seeking to acquire a hotel or resort near Male

Maldives Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has opened an invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) seeking to acquire a tourist resort or hotel within sea plane range from the capital Male’.

The EOI calls on local or foreign individuals or multinational companies to submit written Expression of Interest (EOI) for those interested to enter into a partnership with MTDC.

The company asks for interested parties to state the party’s interested option, provide details of the company and a description of the tourist resort or hotel and submit the EOI’s before 1400 hours on 1st July 2013.

The government company mandated with tourism development, MTDC currently manages a single resort, Herethere in Addu atoll. Facing huge losses, the company has tried to sell the resort on a number of occasions and failed.
