Criminal Court orders to summon Controller of Immigation

Criminal Court has issued an order today to summon the Controller of Immigration and Emigration Dr. Mohamed Ali to the court.

The order states that the court has received a case by lawyer Ali Shah alleging that his client, Sri Lankan citizen K. C. Shodhana Delkandha Arachi was illegally arrested.

It also states that the Department of Immigration and Emigration has ignored a previous order by the court to produce an official with the authority to answer the allegations. It orders Controller Dr. Mohamed Ali, or someone that answer in his stead, to be present in Criminal Court before 12:00 pm today.
