President Waheed arrives in Naifaru

President Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik has arrived in Lhaviyani Naifaru today, as part of a new wave of campaign travels ahead of upcoming presidential elections.

Accompanying President Waheed was his new running and Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party Leader Ahmed Thasmeen Ali, along with leaders of member parties of the election coalition, Adhaalath Party President Sheikh Abdulla Imran and Gaumee Party President Dr. Hassan Saeed.

MPs and senior government officials also arrived in Naifaru for the campaign events today.

A large number of people gathered to welcome the president.

People from nearby island have travelled to Naifaru in anticipation of the events. The coalition is to host a campaign event tonight.

The President is scheduled to leave to Haa Dhaalu Kulhudhuffushi tomorrow.
