President Waheed to announce a running mate tomorrow

President Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik has decided to announce his running mate for the upcoming presidential election, tomorrow.

Answering a question by Sun at a news conference held in the President’s Office today, President Waheed said that the announcement would be made at an event in Trader’s Hotel tomorrow afternoon.

The President is also scheduled to begin a new wave of campaign travels to the atolls tomorrow. The running mate will be announced ahead of his he campaign travels.

It has been rumoured that President Waheed will pick Leader of Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP) Ahmed Thasmeen Ali as his running mate.
