Former President Gayoom meets with Indian Prime Minister

Former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom has met with Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh as part of his current visit to India.

Gayoom said on Twitter today, “In New Delhi. Had honour of meeting the Hon Prime Minister today. I thank Indian govt for its warm welcome n generous hospitality.”

He further said that Maldives and India are partners in peace, development and progress.

An official of Maumoon Office said told Sun Online that the meeting between Gayoom and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh took place this morning.

Gayoom travelled to India last night, after a personal trip to Malaysia.
