I have decided to join President Waheed

Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) Parliamentary Group Member and Thimarafushi MP Ahmed Shareef has announced that he has decided to leave the PPM and join President Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik’s Gaumee Ithihad Party (GIP).

Also a member of the PPM Council, MP Shareef said today that the decision has been made and that the arrangements for the shift is now being carried out by GIP.

“I have decided to join President Waheed’s party. The party will carry out the arrangements.”

Shareef said that his decision comes with a realization that what will most benefit his constituency was to move to GIP.

“I believe the most beneficial thing for my constituency is to join President Waheed’s party. I have today decided to join President Waheed’s Gaumee Ithihad Party.”

The Thimarafushi MP visited the GIP office, located in Ma. Eureka today.
