Girl who tried to hang herself taken to Kulhudhuffushi for treatment

A 17-year-old girl who was saved while trying to hang herself in Haa Dhaalu Makunudhoo has been taken to Haa Dhaalu Kulhudhuffushi for treatment.

Head of Kulhudhuffushi Hospital Dr Mohamed Ali said today that the girl was breathing when she arrived at the hospital.

“Her condition is stable now, she is talking, and currently in observation,” he said.

Sun understands that the Makunudhoo School grade 10 student tried to hang herself after some nude photos of her were leaked. She was not breathing when people found her in her room, and started breathing while being treated at Makunudhoo Health Centre.

The case is currently under police investigation.
