Pakistani naval ship arrives in the Maldives

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has revealed that a visiting Pakistani naval ship PNS Saif has arrived in the Maldives yesterday, and that it is planned to stay in the Maldives till the 18th of this month.

Senior officials from the MNDF and Police are scheduled to visit the Pakistani naval ship today, in addition to the Pakistani High Commissioner and Pakistani citizens living in the Maldives. A special dinner hosted by the commanding officer of PNS Saif will also be held on the ship tonight.

Maldives Chief of Defence Force will also hold a special event for the officers of the naval ship tomorrow, followed by a lunch hosted by Pakistani High Commissioner in the Maldives.

Senior officers from the PNS Saif will call on the Minister of State for Defence and National Security Mohamed Muizzu Adnan and Chief of Defence Force Major General Ahmed Shiyam during their 4 day stay.

Commandant Cost Guard Brigadier General Ahmed Shahid is also scheduled to meet with the officers of the ship, and a contingent from the vessel also scheduled to meet the Pakistani High Commissioner in the Maldives.

PNS Saif is scheduled to leave on Thursday morning, states MNDF.
