Criminal Court has sentenced Hussain Humaam Ahmed H. Lobby to 6 years in prison after being convicted of drug offences for two different cases.
State has also raised charges against Hussain Humaam for the murder of former Ungoofaaru Member of Parliament Dr. Afrasheem Ali.
Humaam was sentenced on a conviction of two charges taken against him by the State for using Cannabis.
The first sentence against Humaam states that he was tested positive for Cannabis after being subjected to a urine test, which was administered following his arrest while he was in front of “Ihasaan” store at 2 am on the 26th of May 2011. The sentence says that Humaam had accepted the charges against him.
The second sentence against Humaan for using Cannabis states that he was tested positive for Cannabis after he was being subjected to a urine test, which was administered following his arrest on the accusation of murdering Dr. Afrasheem Ali, while Humaan was standing in front of “Jalapeno” restaurant at 1:56 am on the morning of the 1st of October 2011.
The Criminal Court had also sentenced him to one year in jail after being convicted of refusing to provide a urine sample to the authorities. Humaam now faces a total of 7 years in prison.
Humaam is also being charged for attacking a police officer. The trail for the case has not yet concluded.
