Applications open for scholarships from UK and India

The Education Ministry on Thursday announced the opening of applications for for scholarship opportunities under the Commonwealth Scholarships in the UK Program and the Netaji Subhas-ICAR International Fellowship 2026 Program in India.

According to the ministry, the Commonwealth Scholarships in the United Kingdom 2027-2028 Program offers three scholarship opportunities for Master's Degree courses.

In order to be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, must not be enrolled in a course at the same level at state expense. The applied course must also be of a higher standard than the highest academic qualification they currently have.

If the candidate has taken out a student loan from the Education Ministry, then they must not have defaulted on the payment and regularly repaid it.

Interested candidates are required to submit applications via the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC)’s portal or the Education Ministry’s portal Kuri by 01:30 pm October 8.

Meanwhile, candidates interested in applying for the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)’s Netaji Subhas-ICAR International Fellowship 2026 are required to submit their applications via email to [email protected] by September 25.
