Presidential Election Regulation opened for public comments

The Elections Commission (EC) has opened the Presidential Election Regulation for public comments, in order to amend the regulation.

Vice President of the EC Ahmed Faiz Hussain said tonight that parties that wish to suggest amendments to the Presidential Election Regulation can do so via letters, fax and email before 28 March 2013.

He said that the feedback of the people in relation to the regulation is of utmost importance, as it is the people who would vote in the election.

He said that the people’s comments will be taken into account before the regulation is published on the Government Gazette.
