The Department of Public Examinations (DPE) has begun issuing results for students who sat for the O’ Level examinations in February and March this year.
A total of 8,218 students participated in the examination session, which was conducted across 21 examination centers in Malé and 246 centers throughout the atolls. DPE began issuing the results from 12:00pm on Tuesday.
According to DPE, if another individual is collecting the results of a student who privately sat for the exams, they must bring the student’s original identity card and their own identity card.
The results released on Tuesday are that of the first batch of students who sat for O’ Level examinations this year. Students currently enrolled in Grade 10 are scheduled to sit for their O’ Level examinations during October and November.
Notably, since last year, the government has made it mandatory for all students sitting for O’ Level examinations to undertake all four core subjects: Islam, Dhivehi, Mathematics, and English. Examination fees for these compulsory subjects are fully funded by the government.
