Some Members of Parliament have joined PPM: Mahloof

Spokesperson of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) Ahmed Mahloof has said that the PPM Office has received the signed membership forms of ‘two or three’ Members of Parliament.

Mahloof said at a press conference held at the campaign office of ‘Yageen Team’ of PPM primary candidate Abdullah Yameen, that the names of the MPs have not been revealed yet following their request, and that their names will be announced when the time is most appropriate to do so.

He said that even more MPs have been invited to join PPM.

“Two or three MPs have already signed to join PPM. We have the forms with us. I think their names will be revealed when the time is right, as per their wish also. PA’s Nazim and them are already working with us. Not sure if they haven’t signed also,” he said.

Mahloof referred to the function to be held at Artificial Beach at 8:45 pm tomorrow to officially launch Yameen’s campaign, and said that the function will be unlike any other held by ‘Yageen Team’ previously and will include different items, such as new people possibly joining the party.
