US President Donald Trump has said he is preparing to review a newly submitted peace proposal from Iran, though he expresses significant doubt regarding its acceptability, but is waiting for the exact wording while warning that strikes could restart if Tehran "misbehaves".
In a post on social media on Saturday, he wrote: "I will soon be reviewing the plan that Iran has just sent to us, but can’t imagine that it would be acceptable in that they have not yet paid a big enough price for what they have done to Humanity, and the World, over the last 47 years."

As has been reported earlier, Iranian media said that Tehran had submitted a new 14-point proposal to mediators for a permanent end to the war on Iran.
"Under this framework, negotiations over the more complicated nuclear issue have been moved to the final stage to create a more conducive atmosphere," the Iranian media reported.
The plan reportedly demands the withdrawal of US forces, the lifting of sanctions, and compensation for damages.
