Items worth MVR 300,000 stolen from Digital Photo Studio

Items worth MVR 300,000 have been stolen from Digital Photo Studio.

Owner of Digital Photo Studio Mohamed Shafee told Sun Online that the thieves entered the shop by breaking the door.

The stolen items include five Nikon cameras, one Mac Mini, one Ipad, the safe, and the CCTV camera recording system.

Shafee said that there was a cheque book and a passport in the safe when it was taken, but no money. He said that the cheques had not been signed.

Digital Photo Studio is located on the first floor of H. Silk Wood on Moonimaa Hingun.

Shafee said that a person in the area reported seeing two people leaving the studio carrying bags full of goods sometime after morning prayers today.

He said that the studio suffered irrecoverable losses due to the theft.

A police media official said that the matter was under investigation.
