Foreigner dies after being electrocuted in Kaafu Gulhi

A foreigner has died after being electrocuted in Kaafu Gulhi tonight.

Police said that the person died around 20:20 tonight and that the man has been identified as M. D. Russel, age 37, a Bangladeshi citizen who had been working at one of the boats ashore on the island’s boat yard. Police said that the doctors who attended to the victim at the Gulhi Health Centre said that the man had already expired by the time he reached the health centre.

Police are currently investigating the cause of the incident.
