Reports from Iranian media claim that the wife of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has died after suffering injuries in Saturday’s suspected Israeli strike.

According to a report carried by Iranian outlets and cited by the Times of Israel, Mansoureh Khojasteh Bagherzadeh is said to have succumbed to injuries sustained during the attack. WION also reported the development, noting that Iranian media attributed her condition to the strike.

Iran has not issued an official statement confirming her death. No details have been released by Iranian authorities regarding the nature of her injuries or the circumstances under which she was affected by the strike.

Mansoureh Khojasteh Bagherzadeh, 78, was known for maintaining a low public profile despite her position as the spouse of Iran’s Supreme Leader. She was the only wife of Ali Khamenei. She married Khamenei in 1964 and is the mother of his four children.

The reported death comes amid heightened tensions following Saturday’s strike, which Iran has blamed on Israel. Regional and international media continue to monitor the situation as no official confirmation has been issued by Tehran.
