A capture from Moms Aid's 'Ramadan Aid' campaign in 2025: Ramadan donations have been opened for 300 vulnerable families across the Maldives.
Moms Aid has opened donations for 300 vulnerable families across the Maldives ahead of Ramadan, which is expected to begin next week.
This initiative is part of the organization’s annual ‘Ramadan Aid’ campaign.
The organization explained that the campaign primarily focuses on providing essential food supplies to vulnerable families, ensuring they have the necessary provisions during the fasting month.
Moms Aid is offering ‘Care Baskets’ valued at MVR 1,200 each. These baskets are curated to meet Ramadan traditions and nutritional needs, helping families manage the fasting period more easily. In addition, members of the public can sponsor ‘Iftar Packs’ for MVR 75, offering direct support for families’ evening meals to break the fast.
This year, the campaign aims to assist 300 families living under challenging circumstances across the Maldives. Beneficiaries are selected through Moms Aid’s dedicated verification process to ensure the assistance reaches those most in need.
Since 2019, Moms Aid has been providing vital support to families facing hardships.
The organization is now accepting contributions. In addition to monetary donations, physical items for the baskets—such as vegetables, canned fruits, and milk packets—are welcome. These items can be delivered to Galolhu School between 16:00pm and 20:00pm this evening.
Zain Zareer, Operations Director of Moms Aid, highlighted that the campaign seeks to ease the difficulties faced by families while promoting a spirit of community
