Bangladesh suspends on-arrival visas ahead of next month’s parliamentary elections

Bangladesh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has temporarily suspended the issuance of on-arrival visas for all travellers ahead of the country’s parliamentary elections scheduled for next month.

According to the ministry, the suspension will take effect on Thursday and remain in place until the 15th of next month.

Travellers entering Bangladesh during this period will be required to obtain a visa in advance from the Bangladesh High Commission.
