Maldivian model Raudha Athif passed away at 20

Young Maldivian model Raudha Athif known for her striking blue eyes has passed away in Bangladesh.

The 20-year-old had been a student at Islami Bank Medical College in Rajshahi, Bangladesh.

A family member who spoke to “Sun” said Raudha passed away this Wednesday morning, and that family members were on their way to Bangladesh.

Reports say that the death have been ruled a suicide according to the Chief of Police, Zillur Rahman.

One of Raudha’s classmates posted on Facebook that Raudha’s death has been confirmed by police as a suicide.

“We cannot feel which level of pangs and pain made her to commit suicide but we do not desire any soul to leave this world in such a distressful way,” wrote the classmate.

Raudha rose to fame as a model from the photo by Shifaz Shammoon (Sotti) titled “Maldivian Girl with Aqua Blue Eyes”.

She later featured in the cover of October, 2016 issue of Vogue India.
