Maldives performs well, first match to Kyrgyzstan

Despite an admirable performance by the Maldivian team, Kyrgyzstan has won the first match in the AVC Central Zone Volleyball Tournament.

Kyrgyzstan won the first match of the tournament that began in Maldives today with three straight sets.

Although the Maldives led the first set, Kyrgyzstan improved their play and won it by 22-25. Hassan Nilam and Ismail Sajid (Kuda Kaattey) performed well in the first set.

Similar to the first set, Maldives performed well and was ahead most of the second set. But after a heated play, Kyrgyzstan won the set 33-31.

Unlike the first two set, the Maldives did not display the best performance in the third set resulting in the domination of the set by Kyrgyzstan and winning the match by 20-25.
