House searched in Galolhu, items seized

Police have searched G. Filaaveli on Kashimaa Hingun between 2:00 a.m. and 3:15 a.m. Monday.

The area between the intersection of Kashimaa Hingun and Buruzu Magu, and Lonuziyaaraiy Magu were closed for the operation.

Police media was not available for a comment and the reason for the search is unclear.

Police officers who left the house were carrying bags containing items believed to be evidence.

A special operation is under way following the 28 September explosion on the presidential speedboat, wherein numerous premises are being searched in Malé and islands by police and Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF).
