Parliament sittings suspended for a week

Parliament sittings have been suspended for a week.

The Parliament Secretariat has not given any reason for the suspension.

A date for the next sitting was not announced at the conclusion of the last sitting, held on Tuesday.

An MP who spoke to Sun Media said that all work is presently at committee level, more time is needed to complete this work.

“There is no point holding a parliament sitting now. All work is at committee level,” he said.

There are 19 pending bills, all at committee level.
