Thoariq assigned to the Tourism Ministry

Environment Minister, Thoariq Ibrahim has been temporarily charged with running the Tourism Ministry.

Spokesperson of the President’s Office, Ibrahim Muaz Ali told Sun Media tonight that the President Abdulla Yamin Abdul Gayoom charged assigned the Environment Minister Thoariq to the Tourism Ministry under the policy to assign temporary heads in the absence of the respective Ministers.

“Tourism Ministry is under the Vice President Ahmed Adheeb. Since he is currently abroad, the President has assigned the Environment Ministry Thoariq to the position.” Spokesperson Muaz said.

The former Tourism Minister, Ahmed Adheeb has been running the Tourism Ministry even after becoming the Vice President. He is currently in China in an official visit.
